...Angkor Wat Photos & Pictures

I spent Christmas last year in Cambodia, and the highlight of my trip is the breathtaking spectacle known as Angkor Wat. Here are some photos and pictures I took, enjoy :)

The pictures were all taken with a stock 18-55mm lens on a Nikon D40x body. Angkor Wat was built in the early 12th century as a temple and city capital for the king Suryavarman II.

With its classical Khmer architecture, Angkor Wat has become the symbol of Cambodian, appearing on its national flag.

Located 5.5km north of Siam Reap, Angkor Wat is now a World Heritage Site and is the biggest tourist attraction in Cambodia, visited by over half a million people every year.
